Although a busy composer, David is highly prolific and is open to discussion concerning new commissions. There are some guidelines concerning commission fees based on performance deadlines, ensemble size, work length etc. but each commission is negotiated purely on its own merits and criteria and is a personal service specifically for the commissioner or intended recipient. Previous work includes a simple lullaby written for the birth of a child, to full choir pieces for a 70th birthday, an extended concert work for a violin/piano virutuoso duo that was premiered at the Purcell Room and an arthouse film score for electric guitars and mandolins.
